Haputale,

Haputale Gap is one of most spectacular view in the country. Yhe great amphitheature of upper Uva spreads out to tne norhh and east. It border the mountain of Idalgashinna, Ohiya and Horton Plains National Park, the peaks of Hakgala, the purple cone of Namumukula, and Poonagala and Nuwara Eliya. On the oter side are an equally breathtaking view and the foothills of the lower Uva and southern Sabaragamuwa followed up by the Sourthern province right down to the sea.

A large eye-catching bungalow built by a tea estate manager wth material got down from England in 1931. This place is now occupied by St.Benadictine monks and opened to the public to watch it. Many vistiors come here to sea the beauty of the place which is well maintained, and you can see the libraryt of the first owner's book collection.

Lipton's seat is the best panaromic view point in hill country. It located in Dambatenne estate. In peak of here can watch four provinces in country.
Dambatenna tea factory is bigest South Asian tea foctory, built in1890 sir Tomas Lipton, the tea magnate whise name is immortalized in Lipton's Tea.
